Store grant to help fingerprint children

January 30, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — The Police Department will use a $1,500 grant from the Taylor Target store to expand its child fingerprinting system.

Mayor Cameron Priebe, the City Council and top department officials recently recognized the store for providing the grant.

Shannon Ruhe, executive team leader at Target, said Taylor was picked for the grant because of Target’s “strong dedication to the community and strong partnerships they have created in the
community.”

“The Taylor Police Department has always been a great partner to their local Target,” Ruhe said.”This is the least we can do at this time to show them our appreciation.”

Taylor Mayor Cameron Priebe thanks Shannon Ruhe of the Taylor Target store for a $1,500
grant to the city’s Police Department.
