Alliance starts online newsletter

March 17, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

LINCOLN PARK – The Lincoln Park Preservation Alliance has created its own online newsletter.

Preservation In The Park, which takes cues from other local cyberpublications such as Model D and Metromode, will be e-mailed to subscribers on the first day of every month. The newsletter will contain LPPA monthly meeting and event notifications, as well as other information pertaining to historic preservation.

To subscribe, e-mail [email protected].

The alliance is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of Lincoln Park’s historic resources by working to protect the city’s historic sites through education, advocacy, research, tours, workshops and lectures.

Alliance efforts have landed the former Lincoln Park Post Office (now the Lincoln Park Historical Museum) and the Mellus Newspapers building on the National Register of Historic Places.

Members also have published the book “Lincoln Park” and created the Lincoln Park Discount Card.
