Dearborn Mayor John O’Reilly Jr. (at back, center) stopped by Geer Park School on March 10 to read to some third-grade students. It was one of several school visits the mayor is making over the next few weeks to promote National Reading Month. During his visit, O’Reilly passed out new coloring books — created at his request by the Dearborn Historical Museum —
that feature Dearborn landmarks and prominent people who have helped define the city over the years. Also pictured here are teachers Huda Essa, Hussein Bazzy and Kathy Daly, Media Specialist Linda McCarty and Principal Andrea Awada.
