Chester Doughman of Dearborn will present a history of the automobile as it relates to the Detroit area at 2 p.m. today in the Fireplace Room of the Westfield Activities Center, 2700 Westfield in Trenton.
The discussion will place special emphasis on the Church-Field automobile, which was built in Trenton at the turn of the 20th century. Doughman, an antique car aficionado who has seen the car in person, works at the Automotive Hall of Fame. Organizers say he will bring a vast array of information on the Church-Field to share with attendees. The event is free and open to the public.
