LINCOLN PARK — The Lincoln Park Preservation Alliance is sponsoring a Bowling Stimuli Event for the city’s unemployed residents on April 18 at Fort Park Recreation, 2055 Fort Park.

The evening will feature free bowling and pizza. Co-sponsors include Fort Park Recreation, Busen’s Appliance, Magina Book Store, Quality Tire, dentist Mike Izzo, Leisure King, Park Restaurant and many others.

Each bowler gets three bowling games, bowling shoe rental, two $2 drink coupons and pizza; the coupons will be good for soft drinks only. Admission is free for unemployed city residents and their spouse or significant other, $15 for all others.

Check-in is at 7:15 p.m.; bowling starts at 8. Proof of unemployment must be provided at check-in.
Those interested in participating can call Mary Cross at (734) 301-3962 to reserve a spot.

The LPPA is nonprofit organization working to ensure that Fort Street’s historic buildings are saved, restored and utilized for new uses to help create jobs.
