Doors taken
A screen door and a fence gate were stolen from a house in the 14000 block of LeBlanc sometime between 5 p.m. March 18 and 4 p.m. March 21.
The owner, who recently bought the house, did not find any pry marks on the front door or the side door, but a screen on a window on the rear of the house was bent slightly.
No entry apparently was gained to the house.
Neighbors told the owner they have seen scrappers driving around in a white full-size van recently.
Window broken, stereo stolen
The window of a 2000 Pontiac Sunfire was broken and the stereo inside was stolen sometime between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. March 27 while the owner was inside MJR Allen Park Cinema, 6601 Allen.
Car thief leaves parting gift
A 1995 Plymouth Neon parked in a driveway in the 14000 block of Markese was stolen sometime between 6 p.m. March 25 and 8 a.m. March 26 while it wase.
The owner found a bicycle in its place.

Attempted vehicle theft
Someone attempted to steal a 1995 Ford Explorer sometime early Tuesday morning in the 1500 block of Camelot.
The owner found the rear hatchback broken into and the ignition switch punched out.
Stolen from the vehicle was a set of golf clubs and a Global Positioning System unit.
Mangy coyote shot
An injured coyote that contracted mange was shot by a police officer in a wooded area north of Rose Lane and King at 1 p.m. Monday.
The coyote was hit by a car several weeks ago and had a broken leg.
Parks and Recreation Department officials said they had been trying to capture it because its mange was a threat to residents and domesticated animals.
Teen assaulted
A 14-year-old boy was assaulted by a man in his early 20s while walking on Harrison east of Fort at 6 p.m. March 26.
The boy was walking west on Harrison when a blue minivan drove past him and stopped.
A man exited the passenger’s side of the van and walked up to the teen. The driver, believed to be in his late teens, stood next to the car and watched.
The man pushed the teen to the ground and kicked him in the groin. He then called him an obscene name.
The teen got up and ran away while the van made a northbound turn onto Fort.
Riverview
Hole found in window
A truck’s driver’s-side window was broken sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday in the 17000 block of Mulberry.
The owner parked his 2005 Chevrolet Silverado in front of his house, and when he returned he found a large circular-shaped hole in the window.
A large rock was lying in the street next to the passenger’s-side rear tire that may have been used to damage the window.
Books stolen from truck
Several items were stolen out of a 2006 Dodge Ram sometime between midnight and 2 p.m. Tuesday in the 20000 block of Fort.
The owner had truck parked it in the apartment lot. When she returned she noticed the steering column was ripped apart, as were the front and rear light consoles.
Stolen from the truck was an ashtray filled with change, two car chargers and a school bag with three books inside.
Car taken
A 2001 white Dodge Stratus was stolen sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday from an apartment parking lot in the 22000 block of Timber Ridge.
The driver said he locked the doors, has both sets of keys and the car is fully paid for.
Fence falls on vehicles
A privacy fence fell on a 1998 Chevrolet van and a 2003 Hyundai at 8:30 a.m. March 24 in the 13000 block of Sibley.
The vehicles were in the owner’s apartment building parking lot adjacent to Riverview Commons Shopping Center, 19040 Fort. The fence separates the two parking lots.
Wyandotte
Tailgate missing
An employee of BASF, 1609 Biddle, discovered his 2008 Dodge Ram’s tailgate missing as he was leaving work at 5 p.m. March 25.
He arrived at work about 7 a.m. that day and parked in the east lot. Security cameras do not cover that area of the parking lot.
Tires punctured
All four tires of a Chevrolet Impala were punctured sometime between 11:15 and 11:45 a.m. March 24 while it was parked in the 500 block of Forest.
It will cost $800 to replace the tires.
SUV burglarized
A 2001 Explorer was burglarized sometime between 2:30 and 9 a.m. March 28 while it was parked in a driveway in the 1000 block of 13th.
The owner found the driver’s-side window smashed and the entire center portion of the dashboard removed, including the stereo.
Dog bites delivery woman
A dog being walked by its owner bit a woman delivering newspapers at 7:30 a.m. last Sunday in the 200 block of North.
The delivery woman said that without warning the dog bit her left front pants pocket, tearing it. The dog did not make contact with her skin.
