City establishes ordinance hotline

April 11, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR — The city has a new 24-hour ordinance hotline that allows residents to report violations anonymously.

Residents can call the hotline anytime at (734) 374-0100 and leave an ordinance complaint in a voice-mail message. Within 24 hours of the initial call, an ordinance officer will visit the location of the alleged violation and assess the situation.

“We want people to feel like they can call,” said Joseph Nardone, executive director of the Office of Development Services. “We’re a department that wants to be corrective in nature, not punitive. When you
leave a complaint, you can be helpful to the city.”
