Dearborn Community Arts Council’s 4th Annual First Lady’s Tea is on May 9

April 17, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – The Dearborn Community Arts Council will have its annual First Lady’s Tea, chaired by the city’s own first lady, Christine O’Reilly, from 1 to 4 p.m. May 9 at the Dearborn Hills Golf Course Club House, 1300 S. Telegraph.

Admission is $35.

An addition to this tradition will be a tea luncheon at individually set tables hosted by prominent members of the civic, artistic and business community.

Each hostess will set the table with her personal tea service and china and determine the table’s theme. The themes range from a formal high tea table, to a casual garden party to a whimsical children’s theme. Some tables reflect a business or civic group.

These displays will add another dimension to this day-before-Mother’s Day event.

To make reservations or to sign up to host a table, contact Stella Greene at the DCAC at (313) 943-3095.

Proceeds will help support DCAC and the city’s Senior Services many programs.

The DCAC is the umbrella advocacy organization for more than 40 cultural arts and performing groups in Dearborn.
