WYANDOTTE — The 38th annual St. Stanislaus Kostka Polish Festival will be held next weekend.
The festival will be held over Memorial Day weekend, from 5 to 11:30 p.m. May 22, and 1 to 11 p.m. May 23 and 24.
Approximately 820 residents from 22 Downriver communities are involved in the Polish festival, and they range in age from a few months to their late 80s.
The event will feature a special Honor Roll wall for deceased veterans, and all are invited to sign the names of their lost veterans and loved ones. A special memorial service at 4 p.m. the last day of the festival will be held to recognize past veterans, as well as those currently serving.
Food will include kielbasa, kraut, homemade pierogis, pizza, Italian sausage, hamburgers, hot dogs, baked goods and ice cream.
Games, rides, dancing, beer, a bar, Vegas tent and live music will be featured throughout the festival.
A raffle also will be held, with a first prize of $7,500.
