Q: I love actress Kristin Chenoweth and was wondering what she has planned now that “Pushing Daisies” has been canceled. — Anna J. in Pennsylvania
A: Tony Award winner and Emmy nominee Kristin Chenoweth, who turns 41 this month, can be seen this fall in Fox’s musical comedy “Glee” as April Rhodes. This winter, she stars in “Twelve Men of Christmas,” an all-new Lifetime Original Movie. Based on the popular novel “Decent Exposure” by Phillipa Ashley, the romantic comedy tells the story of a down-on-her-luck public-relations executive who uses her media savvy to generate some sizzle in a small Montana town. She is also set to play singer Dusty Springfield on the big screen in a yet-to-be-named biopic. You can catch Kristin on DVD in “Four Christmases,” “RV,” “Bewitched,” “Running With Scissors” and “Stranger Than Fiction.”

Q: What do former “Star Trek” stars think about the latest “Star Trek” movie? – Robert O., via e-mail
A: While I’m not sure how everyone feels, I can tell you that one captain has nothing but praise for the latest reincarnation of the outer-space series. Patrick Stewart, who played Capt. Jean-Luc Picard on “Star Trek: The Next Generation,” has praised director J.J. Abrams for successfully resurrecting the franchise, insisting that he loved the new “Star Trek.” Patrick is full of praise for Chris Pine, who portrays a young Capt. James T. Kirk in the new movie. He found it to be, “brilliant, charming, funny and utterly delightful.” He added: “I loved [the movie]. With the exception of Leonard Nimoy, I didn’t know any of the cast, but it’s still ’Star Trek.’ I got a great kick out of it.”

Q: I loved the sneak-peek preview we got of Fox’s new show “Glee” that was on after the “American Idol” finale. Has it been picked up for the fall? — Ginny W., Punta Gorda, Fla.
A: My favorite new show, “Glee,” has indeed been given the green light for the 2009-10 television season. It will premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox. The show stars Matthew Morrison, Jane Lynch, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith, among many others, and revolves around a high-school teacher’s desire to return the school’s glee club to its former glory.
There also will be an impressive roster of Broadway stars filling recurring roles, such as Victor Garber, Kristin Chenoweth, Josh Groban and Debra Monk. If you missed the show the first time around and can’t wait until Sept. 16 to watch the re-showing of the first episode, go to www.fox.com and watch it online.
