WYANDOTTE — The Roosevelt High School Marching Band will be holding a series of fundraisers in the coming weeks.
In order to purchase new uniforms, the Marching Chiefs will hold three spaghetti dinners over the next month.
The dinners will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow and Aug. 3 and 17 at the First United Methodist Church, 72 Oak.
“The Wyandotte Marching Chiefs are in need of new uniforms,” said Music Boosters secretary Julie Taylor. “The current ones are tattered, torn, ripped and worn.”
In addition to the replacement of the current uniforms, the chiefs will also need additional uniforms for this school year.
About 91 students participated in marching band last year, and the number has jumped to 115 students this year.
“It is a great problem to have, but we need uniforms for each of these students,” Taylor said.
Each dinner will cost $5, and some of the Marching Chiefs will be performing during the fundraisers.
