Purse goes missing
A purse and medication box were stolen from a house in the 9200 block of Chatham while the owner walked to the store at 1 p.m. Monday.
She left the items in her living room and cannot remember if she locked her doors. The purse contained $240.
Garage burglarized
Two minibikes were stolen from a garage in the 16000 block of Jonas sometime during the week before Wednesday.
Man shops, vehicle stolen
A 2001 black GMC Yukon XL was stolen from the parking lot at Lowes, 23111 Outer Drive, sometime between 5 and 5:50 p.m. last Sunday while the owner was shopping inside.

Plate nabbed
The handicap license plate on a 2004 Ford Escape was stolen sometime between 8 and 11 a.m. Monday.
The vehicle was parked in the 63-year-old owner’s apartment building’s lot in the 13000 block of Pennsylvania.
Van taken
A 2003 Dodge van was stolen from the 1700 block of Fort while it was parked outside the owner’s apartment sometime between 12:30 and 1:15 a.m. Monday.
A pair of in-line skates and a bicycle were inside the van.
Car kicked
An employee of Zorba’s Coney Island, 18237 Fort, discovered her 2000 Intrepid was damaged after someone had kicked it while she was working a shift from 11 p.m. July 10 to 7 a.m. the next morning.
The driver’s-side panel of the car apparently was kicked repeatedly.

Hit and run
A man driving a gray Ford Edge hit a 17-year-old’s car while he was stopped at a red light on westbound Harrison at Fort at 4 p.m. July 11.
The teen said the driver looked at him, then at the passenger’s seat and then turned north onto Fort.
Minor damage was done to the plastic casing around the car’s side mirror.
Singles left in theft
Money belonging to four hockey players was stolen from their lockers at Kennedy Recreation Center, 3101 West, sometime between 7 and 8:45 p.m. July 11.
The players were trying out for a team and the lockers are kept unlocked during tryouts.
The money, $325 in total, was taken out of the players’ wallets, but the perpetrator left all of the $1 bills behind.
Plaque defaced
A plaque in the lobby of the Police Department, 2872 W. Jefferson, was defaced sometime before 7 a.m. Tuesday.
An officer noticed that the career officers plaque in the front lobby was missing a gold badge that was affixed to it.
Wyandotte
Broken scooter pushed away
A 2006 scooter was stolen from a driveway in the 2300 block of 17th sometime between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 6 a.m. Wednesday.
The scooter did not work and tire tracks were noticeable in the owner’s lawn.
Bicycle stolen
An unlocked $477 bicycle was taken off a porch in the 200 block of Walnut sometime during the night of July 11.
Branch hits car
A Chevrolet parked in a driveway in the 3300 block of 23rd was damaged at 10 a.m. July 11 when a limb from the owner’s neighbor’s tree fell onto it during a storm.
