Church plays host to Bible school, community celebration

TAYLOR — Two free community events are scheduled for Evangel Baptist Church,16994 Telegraph Road at Pennsylvania.
A Vacation Bible School for children entering kindergarten through seventh grade is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 3 through 7. The week will include stories, games, prizes and snacks. During the Bible school, mothers can remain at the church for Bible study and craft time.
The church’s third annual Community Celebration is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 8. Families are invited to enjoy a day of fellowship, children’s games, inflatable attractions, hay rides, gyro rides, balloons, music and food, including free ice cream from the Taylor Culver’s store. A crowd of 500 to 600 people is expected for the day.
