Mayor John O’Reilly Jr. recently presented a citation to head lifeguard at Ford Woods Pool Erin Faitel, honoring her lifesaving actions that helped a 13 year-old boy swimming at the pool on July 11. Faitel rescued the boy, who she noticed had gone under the water and had not come up for some time. The boy was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but was expected to make a full recovery. Pictured with O’Reilly and Faitel are Recreation Department Director Greg Orner (left) and Outdoor Pools Supervisor Teddy Shaskos (right).
