Simon says take me home

Simon is a soft, elegant domestic longhair gray cat who has been declawed and neutered. He was adopted once, but the other cat in the home was relentlessly aggressive and Simon spent much of his time hiding. After several unsuccessful months of trying to assimilate him, his initial adoptive family returned him to the pound in July. Wyandotte Animal Pound staffers say Simon is very lovable and playful. Cat adoption fees are $60 cash and include spaying or neutering, the first distemper vaccine, a combo test and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. Cat adopters should bring a carrier. Cardboard box carriers can be purchased from the shelter for $5. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. For more information call (734) 324-4445, or go to www.petfinder.com/shelters/MI363.html.
