Dearborn police are seeking a clean-shaven white male in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall in connection with a home invasion on Chase last Monday.
DEARBORN — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a man who broke into a house on Chase last Monday.
Police said that about 10 a.m., a man forced his way into the house in the 5400 block of Chase. He pushed down a woman — the only occupant of the house at the time — and threatened her with a handgun. When he went to the rear of the house, the woman got up and ran to the front door.
There was another brief struggle at the door as the man caught up with her; however, she was able to free herself and escape through the door, screaming for help. The man fled out the front door. The woman suffered an arm injury during the attack.
Police believe the man then went to a residence in the Van Born and Inkster Road area of Dearborn Heights but did not get into the home.
The attacker was described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, clean shaven, and wearing a black short-sleeved shirt with Comcast on the left breast area. The man’s vehicle was described as an older white Ford Taurus.
Police ask anyone with information about the suspect to contact Dearborn police at (313) 943-2295 or the Tip Line at (313) 943-3030.
Dearborn, Mi. — On 8/24/09 at approximately 10:00am, a lone W/M forced his way into a home in the 5400 block of Chase Road in the City of Dearborn. The only occupant in the home at the time was a female resident who was pushed to the ground by the suspect and threatened with a handgun. As the suspect went to the rear of the home, the female victim was able to get to her feet and run to the front door. There was another brief struggle at the front door as the suspect caught up to her. However the female was able to free herself and exit her front door, screaming for help as she exited. The suspect then fled out the front door and left the scene. The victim did suffer an arm injury during the attack.
It is believed that this same suspect left Dearborn after this incident and went to a residence in Dearborn Heights in the Van Born and Inkster area. The suspect did not get into the home in that incident, but due to the similarities in the descriptions given by both complainants, it would appear that it was the same individual involved in both incidents.
The suspect was described as being 5’10 to 6’0, thin build, late 20’s or early 30’s, bald, and clean shaven. The suspect vehicle was described as an older white Ford Taurus.
Both complainants stated that the suspect was wearing a black short sleeved shirt with Comcast on the left breast area of the shirt
