SOUTHGATE — Three candidates running in the city’s mayoral primary will debate Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 14400 Dix-Toledo.

Candidates Ernest Abercrombie Jr., Dennis David and Joseph Kuspa, will square off in the debate, which is open to the public. Seating is limited, but the debate also will be broadcast on local cable access television. Each candidate will have a chance to answer each question. The city’s primary is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 15.

The two with the most votes in the primary will appear on the ballot in the mayoral election Nov. 3 to vie for a term of two years.
