Patient Loki is waiting for a homeLoki is a gentle, middle-aged dog who is patiently waiting for a loving home. He doesn’t bark for attention when people visit, so he often gets overlooked. He is at ease around Wyandotte Animal Pound cats and would do well in a multipet household. Loki has a fatty tumor on his chest that needs a biopsy and removal. The pound can’t afford the $500 to $600 this could cost. Because Loki is in good health, volunteers are hoping the tumor is benign. Loki is a gentle terrier-pit bull mix. He has been neutered. Dog adoption fees are $85 (in cash) and include spaying or neutering, first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine and a heartworm test if the animal is old enough. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
