Stella is a friendly 3-year-old domestic shorthaired cat who might be part Russia blue: She has the nose for it, but her coat is not completely gray. However, her lustrous coat blends into her cage color and causes her to be overlooked when adoptive families visit. A Wyandotte Animal Pound volunteer described her as an affectionate, beautiful and outgoing cat. She comes to the front of her cage when people visit. Cat adoption fees are $60 cash and include spaying or neutering, the first distemper vaccine, a combo test and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. Cat adopters should either bring a carrier, or purchase a cardboard one from the shelter for $5. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
