Dogs are foreclosure victims

September 19, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

IMG_7029webFarrah Fawcett, a 4-year-old cocker spaniel, and Jaclyn Smith, a 5-year-old beagle, lost their house and humans when their home was foreclosed. The dogs are very dependent on each other – they even go on walks together. Both have been at the Wyandotte Animal Pound since the end of August. Volunteers say they really need to be adopted together. Both dogs have been spayed. Dog adoption fees are $85 (in cash) and include spaying/neutering, first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine and heartworm test if the animal is old enough. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. For more information call (734) 324-4445 or go to www.petfinder.com/shelters/MI363.html.
