WYANDOTTE – Over 14 bands will be featured at the fifth annual Downriver Fanfare Marching Band Showcase.
Sponsored by the Wyandotte Music Boosters and the Downriver Foresters organization, it will take place on the field at Roosevelt High School, 540 Eureka Road, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 6. The event will move indoors in case of inclement weather.
Organizers say the event is a friendly meeting and celebration of the music and pageantry of marching band activity.
Participating marching bands will be able to have their marching program assessed. Awards will be given for participation, high winds, high percussion, high visual, esprit de corps and best in show.
