China didn’t make college cut
Wyandotte Animal Pound volunteers say China is a beautiful and gentle 9-year-old domestic longhair tortoiseshell cat whose owner brought her in when they went off to college. She likes to sleep under her cat bed, but not out of shyness. Volunteers say she is a very friendly cat who likes to be held like a baby. Cat adoption fees are $60 cash and include spaying or neutering, the first distemper vaccine, a combo test and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. Cat adopters should either bring a carrier, or can purchase a cardboard one from the pound for $5. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
