Doo-wop concert to benefit city’s annual parade

ALLEN PARK — Funds for the annual Lighted Christmas Parade will be raised at a Doo Wop Concert 7 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Allen Park Center for the Arts, 19001 Champaign.

The concert will take listeners on a musical journey through decades of doo-wop music. The Teen Angels will perform, as will city native Neenuh, along with the high school jazz band, under the direction of Kristi Kruger.

The performance is made possible through the support of the Community Council and the Parks and Recreation Department.

Tickets are available at the community center, 15800 White St., and also can be charged by telephone at (313) 928-0771. To order tickets by mail, send a check and a self-addressed, stamped envelope to: AP Lighted Christmas Parade, P.O. Box 291, Allen Park MI 48101.
