DEARBORN — One of America’s sought-after big band orchestras will once again come to Dearborn.
Back by popular demand, The Glenn Miller Orchestra will perform in concert at 6 p.m. Oct. 17, in the Michael A. Guido Theater of the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave.
Tickets are $28 to $32 and are available by phone at (313) 943-2354, online at www.dearbornfordcenter.com or in person at the box office, which is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.
The Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently even since. The band plays about 300 live performances a year around the world. Trombonist Larry O’Brien is the orchestra’s musical director.

The concert is part of the Ford Center’s 2009-10 professional season, which features national shows as well as shows by local musical and performance groups.
Single-show tickets for any performance on the season schedule are available. Season ticket packages (11 shows) are available at a 30 percent discount. A select show ticket package (seven shows) is available at a 20 percent price discount. Additionally, group discounts are available for most shows.
