DEARBORN – The Dearborn Education Foundation held its annual golf outing Oct. 4 at the TPC of Michigan, to raise funds for grants that benefit the education received by local students.

The event raised about $30,000 — the most of any Education Foundation golf outing yet.

“This event was a huge success because of the great support shown by our golfers and our sponsors,” Foundation President Brian Mosallam said. “We just can’t thank them enough for stepping up to the plate for Dearborn’s children.”

The event sponsors were AXA and McGraw Wentworth. The lunch sponsor was Wayne County Vision Fund. The golf cart sponsor was MAC Professionals. Beverage cart sponsors were: Skanska, Thrun Law Firm, Fairlane Town Center, RCP Associates, Association of Dearborn Schools Administrators – ADSA, and Ghafari.

The Education Foundation is a licensed 501c3 non-profit organization that helps enhance the education that students receive from Dearborn Public Schools through grants to fund technology, equipment and innovative programs not funded by the school district’s budget.

All funds raised by the Education Foundation are funneled into grants. Since its inception the organization has funded more than $1 million in grants.
