Crestwood seeking applicants for board vacancy

October 31, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

HEIGHTS — The Crestwood School District is seeking applications for the Board of Education seat left vacant by Tony DeMarco’s departure.

DeMarco resigned Oct. 27 to join the district in an administrative role, necessitating the resignation from the board. Michigan law requires that a successor be named within 30 days of the resignation.

Details about the application process and the position are available at the Crestwood Board of Education Office, 1501 N. Beech Daly Road.

Interested applicants should submit letters of interest no later than 4 p.m. Nov. 6. Questions concerning the vacancy can be addressed to Supt. Laurine VanValkenburg at (313) 278-0903.
