Threats written on car, doors
Threats and insults were written in marker on the side and back doors of a house and on a car hood Tuesday night of a resident in the 3000 block of Wall who serves on a board in a neighboring city.
The resident said people become upset with decisions she makes as a member of that body.
Purses stolen
A purse was stolen from a woman about 10:30 a.m. Friday as she exited her car in her driveway in the 7000 block of Kolb.
The suspect, a white man described as a “big thug with a deep demanding voice” demanded and grabbed the purse, then ran to a white vehicle, described as either a Ford Taurus or a Chevrolet Monte Carlo.

A woman’s purse and vitamins valued at $150 were stolen from her locked car about 5 p.m. Tuesday at a chiropractic practice in the 4000 block of Allen Road.
The driver’s-side window was smashed to gain access.
Renter gouged — literally
A woman renting a house from a female friend was gouged by the friend on the face and neck about 5:30 p.m. last Sunday.
The altercation became physical when the renter said she and her two children would not move out of the friend’s house without an eviction notice.
The attack took place at the renter’s place of work, Leo’s Coney Island, at 23233 Outer Drive. The friend and landlord, who had been watching the renter’s two children, had brought them to the mother at her place of work immediately prior to the incident.

Vacationing couple’s garage robbed
A garage in the 19000 block of Henry was broken into and burglarized while the residents were on vacation Oct. 31 through last Sunday.
A weed trimmer was missing.
Hitchhiker wanted on warrant
A hitchhiker walking on Dix was taken into custody about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday when he was found to have an outstanding 24th District Court warrant.
The man had in his possession eight prescription muscle relaxant pills in his possession, as well as a syringe and spoon in his pant cuff.

Truck shot with BB gun
The front windshield of a 2001 white Mack truck was shot seven times with a BB gun early Nov. 6 at Jones Chemical, 18000 Payne.
The security guard who should have been on duty was gone when an employee arrived at work and discovered the damage.
Computer, jewelry taken from home
A laptop computer and jewelry were taken about noon Tuesday from a home in the 20000 block of Somerset Court.
After failing to gain entrance through a sliding door wall or a bedroom window, the thief finally broke a garage window and entered the house through a rear door.
Drunken driver arrested
A 30-year-old Romulus man was arrested at 2:45 a.m. Nov. 7 for operating while impaired.
The man was stopped for speeding west on Pennsylvania Road. He was arrested after failing field sobriety tests and his vehicle was impounded.

Van vandalized
Two storefront windows were cracked and a delivery van tire slashed Nov. 3 at Edible Arrangements, 2910 Van Alstyne.
The report was filed a week after the incident when insurance claim processors requested it.
Car’s hood, door scratched
Words and scratches were gouged into the hood and door panels of a purple 1996 Chevrolet Jimmy parked on Van Alstyne between Superior and Vinewood between 5 p.m. Monday to noon on Tuesday.
