November 28, 2009 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN, Mich. – Curbside collection of yard waste in properly bagged or containerized leaves has been extended through the week of Monday, Nov. 30 through Friday, Dec. 4.

Note that you must set out your yard waste on your trash day. Do not wait until Friday, Dec. 4. Yard waste will be picked up in your neighborhood only on your trash day the week of Nov. 30 through Dec. 4.

As always for curbside collection, put your yard waste in proper yard waste paper bags or in 32 gallon containers with a City yard waste sticker on the lid or side. (Yard waste stickers are available at City Hall.) Put the bags or containers at the curb on your regular trash pickup day.

Leaves in plastic bags or in cardboard boxes will not be picked up.

For more information, residents can call the Dearborn Department of Public Works at 943-2085.
