Hurley is a mellow fellow
Wyandotte Animal Pound volunteers believe that Hurley, a 5-year-old orange tabby cat who was brought in as a stray, was probably someone’s outdoor pet. He’s very affectionate and friendly, but isn’t crazy about being picked up. He has claws but is a gentleman; he doesn’t use them on people, even when he’s annoyed. He has been at the pound since Nov.10. Cat adoption fees are $60 cash and include spaying or neutering, the first distemper vaccine, a combo test and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. Cat adopters should bring a carrier. Cardboard box carriers can be purchased from the shelter for $5. The pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th streets. Adoption hours are 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. For more information call (734) 324-4445, or go to www.petfinder.com/shelters/MI363.html.
