Congressman John receives honorary degree

U.S. Rep. John Dingell, D-Dearborn, (second from left) received an honorary doctor of laws degree from Wayne State University during mid-academic year commencement ceremonies on the WSU campus, Dec. 12. With him prior to the ceremonies are his wife, Debbie (left), who is a member of the WSU Board of Governors, and university President Jay Noren. Dingell received the honor in recognition of his lifelong service in Congress; strong support of the auto industry and its workers; better health care for all Americans and dedication to environmental protection.
