DEARBORN — Two men who attempted to rob Family Dollar, 7937 Schaefer, April 16 are believed to be the same men who robbed another Family Dollar in Warren last Tuesday, police said.

About 8:30 April 16, two men entered Family Dollar, and one of them pulled out a long barreled handgun and demanded money from a locked safe. The employee was unable to open the safe and the men fled without taking anything. Nobody was injured.

The incident was captured on the store surveillance cameras.

The man with the gun was described as a black male in his mid 20s, 6 feet 2 to 6 feet 3 inches tall, thin build, wearing blue jeans, white shirt, dark jacket and a New York Yankees cap.

The second man was described as a black male, 5 feet 10, heavy build, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a baseball cap.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact Dearborn Police at (313) 943-2241 or the police Tip Line at (313) 943-3012.
