HEIGHTS — Voters in the Westwood Community School District last week returned Tim Emery and Cheryl Bell to their respective posts as Board of Education trustees.
Incumbent Emery, of Dearborn Heights, was the only candidate who filed paperwork in time to be put on the ballot and assumes another four-year term, set to expire in June 2014.
Bell, of Inkster, beat out fellow write-in candidate Mario Fundarski to win her first election to the board. She already has experience as a trustee, however, after being appointed to fill the vacancy left by the resignation of former board member Hilliard Hampton III.
Her two-year term is set to expire in June 2012.
