TAYLOR — Mayor Jeffrey Lamarand will present his first State of the City Address at 7 p.m. Thursday in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 23555 Goddard Road.
Tickets will be required for admission and are free, but must be obtained in advance. For ticket information contact the Mayor’s Office at (734) 374-1450.
The address also will be broadcast on the city cable television channels, Channel 12 on Comcast and 10 on WOW.
Plans call for the address to be broadcast at two other hosting locations: Lakes of Taylor Golf Club, 25505 North Line Road, and the William D. Ford Senior Activity Center, 6750 Troy. Tickets are not necessary at either satellite location.
Lamarand said he selected City Hall as the location for his address to provide access to residents and businesspeople in the city at no cost. No taxpayer dollars will be used. The address is sponsored by McKinley Properties, Wade Trim, Century 21 Americal, Keck Real Estate and Schreiber Construction.
In addition, the City Council Chambers are equipped with camera equipment, which will allow for the live broadcast, plus rebroadcasts on the city cable channels and on the city Web site, www.cityoftaylor.com.
The address will highlight the current state of the city, talk about administration initiatives and discuss the plan for the city’s future.
