Violet learning not to shrink
Violet is a shy 3- to 4-year-old brown Chihuahua who was rescued May 4 as a stray. She is a little timid, but volunteers have been working with her, and her personality is starting to emerge.
Roscoe could use rescue
Roscoe T is a very playful and energetic boxer mix. The 6- to 9-month-old stray has been at the Wyandotte Animal Pound since April 29.
Jackson needs a friendly fence
Jackson is a friendly and energetic black with white spots Labrador retriever mix. He has been at the Wyandotte Animal Pound since April 11 and is believed to be 1 to 2 years old. Volunteers say he is good with children and adults and would do well in a home with a fenced yard.
Dog adoption fees are $85 (in cash) and include spaying/neutering, first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine and heartworm test if the animal is old enough. The Wyandotte Animal Pound is at 1170 Grove, between 11th and 13th. Adoption hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
