TAYLOR – The third annual Summer Festival at Our Lady of the Angels Parish is scheduled for Friday through next Sunday.
The festival features a carnival provided by McDonagh Amusements, a game tent, Vegas-style games, bingo, entertainment, a $12,000 grand raffle, 50/50 drawings, a large variety of ethnic and other food and beverages all weekend long.
Presale tickets to ride all weekend are $30, but must be purchased before noon Friday.
Other daily highlights:
• Friday – Festival hours are 5 to 11 p.m. Performing in the entertainment tent will be the Trilogy Band from 7 to 11 p.m. Ethnic foods will be served from 5 to 11 p.m. The game tent will be open from 5 to 11 p.m. Bingo hours are also 5 to 11 p.m. Vegas hours are 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Saturday – Festival hours are 2 to 11 p.m. Performing will be Delirious Love from 2 to 6 p.m. and the Dittilies II from 7 to 11 p.m. Ethnic foods, the game tent and bingo will be available from 2 to 11 p.m. Vegas hours are 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Next Sunday – Festival hours are 1 to 10 p.m. The festival is preceded by a polka Mass at noon in the main tent, featuring the Misty Blues. Performing during the festival are the Misty Blues from 1 to 4 p.m. and Steve King and Fifty Amp Fuse from 6 to 10 p.m. Ethnic foods and the game tent will be available from 1 to 10 p.m. Bing will be played from 2 to 9 p.m. Vegas hours are 6 to 10 p.m. A Texas Hold’em tournament starts at 6:30 p.m.
