HFCC presents ‘going green’ tips at Farmers Market

July 3, 2010 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — Students and staff from Henry Ford Community College’s Alternative Energy program will have information and give tips on how to “go green” Friday at the Dearborn Farmers and Artisan Market.

Staff from HFCC’s University Transfer, Advising and Career Counseling Center also will be available to answer questions about the college.

Future HFCC activities at the Farmers Market include family literacy activities from the English and World Languages Division, free blood pressure screening from the Nursing program, bat house construction demonstrations by members of the Architectural Construction Technology program, and much more.

In addition, representatives from HFCC’s Enrollment and Development Office will be available to provide and distribute information about the college’s programs and services.

HFCC, for the second year in a row, is teaming with the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce to sponsor the seasonal market, which is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fridays until Oct. 29 in the parking lot behind the Bryant Branch Library, 22100 Michigan Ave.
