MICHIGAN by RAIL PUBLIC FORUM
You are invited to attend the Michigan by Rail Public Forum on September 15. Please join State Representative David Nathan, Dearborn Mayor John B. O’Reilly, other elected officials and your fellow citizens for the Dearborn Michigan by Rail Public Forum. The Michigan by Rail Forum in Dearborn is part of a series of 16 public forums taking place throughout the state to engage citizens on a vision for the future of Michigan’s freight and passenger rail system. The event will include an overview of the existing system; an interactive rail mapping session; discussion of financing issues and a big-picture vision of the fu-ture of Michigan’s railroad system. The Forum will be held on Wednesday Sept 15 from 6pm-8pm at University of Michigan-Dearborn’s Fairlane Center South, located at 19000 Hubbard Drive.

The 5 Star Business Group (Dearborn Heights, Redford, Wayne, Westland and Garden City Chambers) are pleased to announce their fall golf classic or “Turf Management Seminar”. The outing will be held on Friday, October 1 at Idyl
Wyld Golf Course in Livonia. The cost is $65 per golfer and includes 18 holes with cart, 3 drink tickets and dinner. All are welcome, from the part-time golfer to the semi-pro. CHAMBER AND BOOSTER CLUB WORK TOGETHER TO RAISE FUNDS FOR LOCAL SPORTS TEAMS
The Dearborn Heights Chamber and the Annapolis School Booster Club are pleased to announce a partnership in raising funds for local athletes. The Booster Club will sell the Chamber’s local Discount Card and keep a portion of all proceeds. The DISCOUNT CARD offers hundreds of dollars in savings to the cardholder and retails for only $15.00. The current Discount Card is valid until December 31, 2011. Dearborn Heights Chamber member businesses are offering discounts off services or products for each cardholder. Some of these businesses are listed on the back of the card and you can find discounts offered by additional businesses listed on the website at www.dearbornheightschamber.com under the Discount Card section. Cardholders can be assured of the integrity of the participating businesses in the Discount Card since all must be members in good standing of the Dearborn Heights Chamber of Commerce.
