Masco sponsorship, even more activities added to city’s first fall arts festival

October 2, 2010 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

TAYLOR – The Taylor Fall Festival of the Arts will include even more activities than its two parent events when continues through today at Heritage Park, 12111 Pardee Road.

The two-day festival is presented by the city’s Department of Golf, Parks and Recreation and Masco Corp., a longtime sponsor of the arts in Taylor. The event is a result of the city combining the former Taylor Fall Fest and summertime Art in the Park Festival into one large event that is expected to draw even larger crowds.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Artists will sell their goods on the pathway of the historic village surrounding the park’s Coan Lake. Professional artwork will be sold in the Pavilion Art Exhibit inside the Heritage Park Activity Building. Each exhibiting artist will receive a personal invitation from Leo and Sue Kuschel, who are members of the Taylor Cultural Arts Commission.

Taylor Ford and Oakwood Heritage Hospital joined Masco Corp. in sponsoring the event.

There is a $3 registration fee for children interested in participating in today’s baking and talent competitions. Prizes will be awarded in various categories.
