Two cities’ finest hit the ice in fundraiser

SOUTHGATE — The family of Taylor police Cpl. Matthew Edwards will benefit from a hockey game between members of the Taylor and Southgate police departments.

The game is scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m. next Sunday at the Southgate Civic Center, 14700 Reaume Parkway, one block north of Eureka Road, just west of Dix-Toledo Road.

Tickets cost $2 each and are available in advance at the Taylor Police Department, 23515 Goddard Road.

There will be a 50-50 raffle, after the game at Malarkey’s Irish Sports Bar 14980 Dix-Toledo in Southgate.
