DEARBORN – Residents who would like an official 2011 city calendar to be delivered to their home are reminded that they must order one by Friday.
Due to the budget challenges facing the city, officials are choosing to direct resources to the most important services and programs. That means calendars no longer will be delivered to every household, but only to those who order one.
Delivery of the free calendars will be in December, with a limit of one per household.
Officials advise requesting a home-delivered calendar by completing the online order form at www.cityofdearborn.org, and then clicking on “Order a 2011 City Calendar” on the right side of the home page.
Residents without computer access can request a calendar by leaving a voice message at (313) 943-3003.
Printable versions of the 2011 calendar will be available on the city Website starting in December. In addition, limited quantities of the 2011 city calendar will be available at City Hall and other public buildings in December.
The calendar is a comprehensive resource for city programs and services, eventdates and phone numbers. It includes information about public safety, property maintenance, trash pickup and recycling, leaf pickup and snow removal, and recreation and cultural arts. It also explains the city’s budget.
