DEARBORN – Resident Daniel Ray Aderhold was being held in court Friday on a second-degree murder charge.

Aderhold, 36, is accused of fatally attacking resdient Perry Lee Beaubien, 46, and killing him with multiple blunt-force trauma hits to the head. The incident occurred about 11:30 p.m. Oct. 25 at an apartment in the 2800 block of Liberty Court following an argument between the two men.

If found guilty, Aderhold could spend life or any number of years in prison.

He was arraigned Oct. 28 in 19th District Court by Judge William Hultgren. Aderhold was in court for a preliminary examination of the evidence against him Friday afternoon, but the defendant was bound over and will resume Friday, Lt. Patricia Penman said.

According to a statement from police, the two men knew each other and worked together as maintenance workers.
