March 8 Mardi Gras fundraiser to benefit education foundation

February 13, 2011 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN — The Dearborn Education Foundation will host its annual Mardi Gras fundraiser from 3:30 to 9 p.m. March 8 at Dearborn Hills Golf Course, 1300 S. Telegraph.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door, and include food, cash bar, entertainment, silent auction, and 50/50 raffle.

The event raises money to help fund grant requests made by Dearborn Public Schools teachers. The requests range from musical instruments, and math and science teaching tools, to classroom equipment and technology not funded by the school district’s budget.

Sponsorship opportunities range from $250 to $5,000, and donations to the silent auction still are being accepted. For sponsorship information or donation forms, go to www.dearbornedfoundation.org or e-mail Dearborn Education Foundation Executive Director Eddie Fakhoury at [email protected], or call (313) 827-8790.

The foundation is a licensed 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
