Sylvia, a brown tabby American shorthair, was surrendered to the pound with her sister, Isabel, because her owners could not care for her. They sleep together and groom each other. Sylvia is sweet and affectionate.
Bring Elliot home
Elliot, a 1-year-old male American shorthair, was a surrender to the pound after his owner died and no one could care for the cat. He is active and loves playing and being cuddled.
Noodles needs you
Noodles is a 2- to 3-year-old Turkish Van/American shorthair mix. She loves being cuddled and will turn herself upside down to get even closer to anyone paying her attention.
Dog adoption fees are $85 and cat adoption fees are $60 (both in cash). Fees include spaying or neutering, first distemper vaccine and a rabies vaccine if the animal is old enough. The Wyandotte Animal Pound is at 1170 Grove, west of 11th Street. Adoption hours are 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday.
