Energy-saving seminar coming to chamber

March 12, 2011 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – A seminar on how homeowners can save energy on their monthly bills will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, 22100 Michigan.

It will be hosted by the Michigan chapter of Efficiency First, a nonprofit trade organization which, according to its Website, “unites the Home Performance work force, building product manufacturers and related businesses and organizations in the escalating fight against global warming and energy costs.”

The event will focus on educating people about how to make their homes more energy efficient. Methods will include reading utility bills, understanding them and what can be done to lower them.

Presenters also will educate residents on how to get refunds and provide information on who to call for answers to questions.

Attendees are asked to bring a copy of any month’s utility bills. Presenters also will take questions in an open forum.
