19th District Court to be closed May 10

April 30, 2011 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

DEARBORN – The 19th District Court will be closed to the public May 10, due to responsibilities in support of a visit here by the Michigan Supreme Court.

Payments of fines and costs or other monies due that day can be deposited in a drop box to the left of the main entrance. Filings and other court documents due on that day will be extended to the close of business on May 11.

The local court will be closed as the city welcomes Supreme Court justices for an educational program in which high school students observe as the justices hear oral argument on a pending case.

The court will be open for regular business on May 11.
