April 30, 2011 By Times-Herald Newspapers Leave a Comment

Howell’s Bar in Dearborn was honored Thursday for its participation in Marine Corps League Post 152’s annual Toys for Tots drive. During the drive, held in the fall, the bar led the city in the sale of T-shirts bearing the Toys for Tot and Marine Corps logos, displayed by Post 152 member Charles Bernard (right). Above, Post 152 Commandant Philip Smith (above, fifth from left) addresses the Howell’s crowd shortly before presenting manager Elayne Klavinger (second from left) with a T-shirt autographed by members of the Detroit Lions. Also present were Paymaster Jerry Miller (left), Dearborn City Councilwoman Nancy Hubbard (fourth from left) and Sergeant-at-Arms C. Andy Anderson (right).
