Friends and family of Brooke Bolley gathered at Crestwood High School Friday to plant a tree and erect a memorial in remembrance of her. Bolley died Feb. 4 at the age of 27 after an almost two-year battle with esophageal/stomach cancer. She was a lifelong resident of Dearborn Heights and graduated from Crestwood. Her mother, Joanne Bolley, said Brooke’s take on life was, “Life might not be the party we asked for, but while we’re here let’s at least dance.” At the ceremony, at left, Joanne Bolley is flanked by Brooke’s siblings, Brad (left) and Brittany.
