The city of Dearborn hosted its annual Flag Day ceremonies June 14 at Ford Field Park. The ceremony is meant to properly dispose of tattered American flags buy burning them in a respectful fashion. A new flag was raised after the old one was taken down. Dearborn Allied War Veterans Council Cmdr. Craig Tillman served as master of ceremonies of the event, which was attended by members of Boy and Cub Scout Troop 1127, Dearborn Police Chief Ronald Haddad, state Rep. George Darany (D-Dearborn) and Sen. Morris Hood (D-Detroit).
