Parking on the festival grounds is $10; $5 festival rate in business district
DEARBORN — Make your visit to Homecoming Friday through Sunday as easy as possible by using the free shuttle services offered by the city.
This year, the free shuttles may be even more valuable, as parking rates have been increased to $10 on the Homecoming grounds at Ford Field Park, and new rates apply in the west Dearborn business district, including on Sunday during the festival.
Two free shuttle options exist: free parking and free shuttle service from Dearborn High School, sponsored by Henry Ford Health System-Fairlane, and free shuttle service from the west Dearborn business district along West Village Drive, from Military to Monroe.
The Dearborn High shuttle will pick visitors up at the school parking lot, on the west side of Outer Drive, north of Michigan Avenue. It runs from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday, and noon to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Parking is free.
Dearborn Public Schools buses, including handicapped-accessible ones, will make continuous trips between the festival and the school parking lot.
The West Village Drive shuttle will run from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from Monroe to Military. City vans will be making stops in front of the parking decks and public lots.
Parking fees parking apply in the west Dearborn business district all three days of the festival.
In addition to hourly rates, a special all-day festival parking rate of $5 is available Friday and Saturday in the two west Dearborn parking decks on West Village Drive, east of Military.
From noon till 10 p.m. on Sunday, this $5 flat fee applies to all surface lots and both parking decks. Parking is free before noon in the lots and the decks on Sunday.
Homecoming is a project of the city and the nonprofit Dearborn Community Fund. Presenting sponsor is Oakwood Healthcare.
The festival allows more than 20 Dearborn-based nonprofit groups to raise money for causes that support the community.
