DEF recognizes contributors

DEARBORN — The Dearborn Education Foundation will host an exhibit and recognition event beginning at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Michael Berry Career Center, 22586 Ann Arbor Trail in Dearborn Heights.

Admission is free; donations will be accepted. Money raised will go to fund teacher grants.

A reception with networking will take place from 4:30 to 5: 30 p.m.; the program will run from 5:30 to 6 p.m.; and dessert and discussions will begin at 6 p.m.

Special guests U.S. Rep. John Dingell (D-Dearborn) and Sir Michael Berry will recognize those who make a difference in the community and schools, according to a DFE release.

Exhibits will be open for the duration of the event. Light appetizers and refreshments made by the Dearborn Public Schools Culinary Arts program will be served.
